Follow these steps the first time that you set up multi-factor authentication.
On your mobile device, download the Microsoft Authenticator app from your device's app store.

Infotech Enterprise Support highly recommends using the Microsoft Authenticator app because it enables you to authenticate even when your mobile device is not connected to the internet.
- On your computer, sign in to Windows.
On the More information required page, click Next.
On the Start by getting the app page, double-check that you've downloaded the Microsoft Authenticator app to your mobile device. Then, click Next.
Click Next on the Set up your account page.
When asked to scan the QR code, use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone to tap the Add "+" button.
On your phone, select Work or school account.
Select Scan QR code.
Hold the phone up to the QR code that displays on your computer.
After the Microsoft Authenticator mobile app scans the QR code, your Infotech account displays.
- On your computer, click Next on the Scan the QR code page.
Enter the number code on your computer screen into the Are you trying to sign in? prompt on your phone and tap Yes.
On your computer, click Next when the Notification approved message displays.

You may be prompted to authenticate one final time before you are able to enter your App Portal.
If you see a code on your computer screen, enter that code into the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone. Then, you will be able to access all of your applications.
